育才学校的前身是基督教培贤女子神学院,始建于1920年。解放后,由市人民政府接管办起工农速成中学。1953年8月,改为广州市育才小学。1956年,育才小学与市立东区二小、东区八小、私立道青小学合并为保安街二小,后称寺贝通津小学。1960年9月,由市教育局指定进行十年一贯制试验,与市七中合为广州师院附属实验学校。1964年,复名寺贝通津小学。1986年9月开始在三至五年级开设体育班。1988年——1989年度先后招收小学和初中一年级体育生,并于1988年5月定名为“东山区育才体育运动实验学校”,后又定名为“东山区育才学校”。2001年被评为广州市一级学校。2003年2月,育才学校与育鹰小学、水均岗小学三所学校合并,搬迁到东风东路782号,保留了“东山区育才学校”的校名。

在育才小学里有一位中国好人——郭纪勇老师。他是天河区龙洞街龙洞小学退休教师。郭老师孤寡一生,以校为家,他关爱所有的学生,用他的实际行动为学生树立了榜样。他为学校清理垃圾,检查课室的门窗,默默地为学校奉献一切。
2010年是郭老师八十寿辰,他以育才小学的名义向慈善机构捐款1260元。他说,学校里有1260位学生,他代表每位学生捐款一元,希望孩子们像他一样,能成为一个有爱心的人。同时,作为一名退休教师,在每年的教师节,他都会为学校的每一位老师送上节日的祝福。他亲自去蛋糕店为老师定制蛋糕,老师的桌面上都会端端正正地摆上两个新鲜的蛋糕。吃着这充满爱心的蛋糕,所有老师都说郭老师真是楷模,是我们前进的动力。郭老师一辈子都在关心教育,特别是关心弱势群体的教育情况。学校临近广州市福利院,他也因此与福利院结下了不解之缘。早在儿童福利基金成立的时候,他就托人送上了200元表示爱心。
2002年,儿童福利院要建教学楼,他一下就捐出了1万元。在郭老师的房间里,还能看到很多收据,这些都是他捐款的证明。哪里需要帮助,只要郭老师知道,哪里就一定能看到他的身影。他长期帮助村内无血缘亲缘关系的的孤寡老人,经常为他们送去菜米油盐,有时老师给他送的点心,他都分成几份,给这些孤寡老人送去。郭老师对慈善事业倾注了浓厚感情。
从2006年6月份龙洞慈善分会成立后,他就先后从平日节省出来的生活费中捐出了8400元,用于救助龙洞地区的困难家庭和群众解决就医、上学和生活困难。
2006年7月,强台风“碧利斯”袭击了广东东南部和珠三角部分地区,造成了人民生命财产的巨大损失,郭老师第一时间捐出了1000元。
2008年初,广东发生“冰雪”灾害,郭老师将街道送给他御寒的两张毛毯原封不动转赠给了灾区人民,自己却还是睡在草席上。“汶川地震”发生时,郭老师也是倾囊相助,捐款1000元。为弘扬中华民族尊老爱幼、和睦美满的传统家庭美德,郭老师倡议在龙洞地区开展 “好儿女,好媳妇” 评选,并捐资5000元购买奖品。
虽然现在郭纪勇老师已经离开了育才小学的所有师生!!但是所有师生都不会忘记他那默默无闻、默默奉献的精神,他的精神在龙洞永存!!
现在,育才小学已被评为“省一级学校”。广州市育才小学始创于1950年。在党和各级政府的关怀下,经过几代人的努力,对校舍进行了三次拆迁、改造,学校发生了巨大的变化,从原先一所简陋的农村祠堂小学发展为如今环境优美,设备先进的学校。2001年10月被评为广州市绿色学校,2002年10月晋升为广州市一级学校。

育才学校的前身是基督教培贤女子神学院,始建于1920年。解放后,由市人民政府接管办起工农速成中学。1953年8月,改为广州市育才小学。1956年,育才小学与市立东区二小、东区八小、私立道青小学合并为保安街二小,后称寺贝通津小学。1960年9月,由市教育局指定进行十年一贯制试验,与市七中合为广州师院附属实验学校。1964年,复名寺贝通津小学。1986年9月开始在三至五年级开设体育班。1988年——1989年度先后招收小学和初中一年级体育生,并于1988年5月定名为“东山区育才体育运动实验学校”,后又定名为“东山区育才学校”。2001年被评为广州市一级学校。2003年2月,育才学校与育鹰小学、水均岗小学三所学校合并,搬迁到东风东路782号,保留了“东山区育才学校”的校名。

在育才小学里有一位中国好人——郭纪勇老师。他是天河区龙洞街龙洞小学退休教师。郭老师孤寡一生,以校为家,他关爱所有的学生,用他的实际行动为学生树立了榜样。他为学校清理垃圾,检查课室的门窗,默默地为学校奉献一切。
2010年是郭老师八十寿辰,他以育才小学的名义向慈善机构捐款1260元。他说,学校里有1260位学生,他代表每位学生捐款一元,希望孩子们像他一样,能成为一个有爱心的人。同时,作为一名退休教师,在每年的教师节,他都会为学校的每一位老师送上节日的祝福。他亲自去蛋糕店为老师定制蛋糕,老师的桌面上都会端端正正地摆上两个新鲜的蛋糕。吃着这充满爱心的蛋糕,所有老师都说郭老师真是楷模,是我们前进的动力。郭老师一辈子都在关心教育,特别是关心弱势群体的教育情况。学校临近广州市福利院,他也因此与福利院结下了不解之缘。早在儿童福利基金成立的时候,他就托人送上了200元表示爱心。
2002年,儿童福利院要建教学楼,他一下就捐出了1万元。在郭老师的房间里,还能看到很多收据,这些都是他捐款的证明。哪里需要帮助,只要郭老师知道,哪里就一定能看到他的身影。他长期帮助村内无血缘亲缘关系的的孤寡老人,经常为他们送去菜米油盐,有时老师给他送的点心,他都分成几份,给这些孤寡老人送去。郭老师对慈善事业倾注了浓厚感情。
从2006年6月份龙洞慈善分会成立后,他就先后从平日节省出来的生活费中捐出了8400元,用于救助龙洞地区的困难家庭和群众解决就医、上学和生活困难。
2006年7月,强台风“碧利斯”袭击了广东东南部和珠三角部分地区,造成了人民生命财产的巨大损失,郭老师第一时间捐出了1000元。
2008年初,广东发生“冰雪”灾害,郭老师将街道送给他御寒的两张毛毯原封不动转赠给了灾区人民,自己却还是睡在草席上。“汶川地震”发生时,郭老师也是倾囊相助,捐款1000元。为弘扬中华民族尊老爱幼、和睦美满的传统家庭美德,郭老师倡议在龙洞地区开展 “好儿女,好媳妇” 评选,并捐资5000元购买奖品。
虽然现在郭纪勇老师已经离开了育才小学的所有师生!!但是所有师生都不会忘记他那默默无闻、默默奉献的精神,他的精神在龙洞永存!!
现在,育才小学已被评为“省一级学校”。广州市育才小学始创于1950年。在党和各级政府的关怀下,经过几代人的努力,对校舍进行了三次拆迁、改造,学校发生了巨大的变化,从原先一所简陋的农村祠堂小学发展为如今环境优美,设备先进的学校。2001年10月被评为广州市绿色学校,2002年10月晋升为广州市一级学校。
