育才学校的前身是基督教培贤女子神学院,始建于1920年。解放后,由市人民政府接管办起工农速成中学。1953年8月,改为广州市育才小学。1956年,育才小学与市立东区二小、东区八小、私立道青小学合并为保安街二小,后称寺贝通津小学。1960年9月,由市教育局指定进行十年一贯制试验,与市七中合为广州师院附属实验学校。1964年,复名寺贝通津小学。1986年9月开始在三至五年级开设体育班。1988年——1989年度先后招收小学和初中一年级体育生,并于1988年5月定名为“东山区育才体育运动实验学校”,后又定名为“东山区育才学校”。2001年被评为广州市一级学校。2003年2月,育才学校与育鹰小学、水均岗小学三所学校合并,搬迁到东风东路782号,保留了“东山区育才学校”的校名。

一个单位就像一条船,船要行得快而稳,一方面必须要有优秀的掌舵人,另一方面必须有年轻力壮、拼搏合作的划船者。学校有一支奉献进取的干部队伍。学校的10位行政干部中40岁以下的有8人,其中30岁以下的有6人,年龄、学科结构合理。几年来,学校已经培养、输送了3名优秀的校长;学校有一支充满活力的教师队伍。该校有教职工79人,其中,中高级教师31人,占教师总数40.7%,35岁以下的年轻教师占教师总数的86%;学校教师中现有党员38人,占教师总数的56.4%。全部教师都是师范院校毕业,均具备教师任职资格,学历达标100%,其中本科毕业生占93%。该校的年轻教师在不断地走向成熟,创造了许多不俗的业绩。有许多年轻教师成为区教研室中心组成员,有许多教师承担了市、区级公开课,有许多年轻教师走上了科组长、级组长的岗位,工作十分出色。他们都年轻有为,拼搏进取,为育实的事业作出了自己的贡献。

发展沿革编辑
◆ 1914年,小学由原岭南大学基督教青年会转交岭南大学接办,至此,岭南大学拥有大、中、小学三部。
◆ 岭南大学仿照欧美一些学校的学生管理方法,在中小学生的管理中,小学和相当于高等小学的中学低年级编入童子军。童子军意在训练儿童之品性,培养其对户外游戏及户外生活的兴趣,养成严守纪律的作风。
◆ 岭南大学在创办至二十世纪初,经费除学费收入外,皆出自外国教会和海外华侨捐款。
◆ 二十世纪二十年代末,小学收回岭南大学办理后,按《壬戍学制》改为六年,办学成绩显著,定为模范小学,供各校参观,并作为大学教育科学生实习之地。小学在行政管理上自成一个行政单位。幼稚园附属小学管理。
◆ 1952年院系调整,中山大学迁至岭南大学校址(即现中山大学校址)—新港路135号。中山大学附属小学与岭南大学附属小学(原岭南附小由岭南小学、青年会小学、儿童工艺所三间小学在解放后合并而成)合并成中山大学附属小学。中大附小人事关系隶属中山大学人事处管辖。
◆ 1961年后参加海珠区教育部门所组织的一切教育教学活动。在文革期间,中大附小由海珠区教育局接管,并改名为七一小学(1968年9月—1969年底),后又该名为海珠区新港路小学(1970年8月—1979年8月),期间包揽了整个新港地段的适龄儿童,学生人数达1300多人,每个教学班人数达60多人。
◆ 1979年8月复办育才小学,恢复了只招收中山大学教职工本校子女的原则。1988年以后,在国家政策许可的范围内,根据中山大学有关规定,开始有条件地招收一些校外生。
◆ 2002年9月,学校根据中山大学布局调整,自筹经费,搬迁新校。
◆ 2003年中山大学根据《教育部高校后勤社会化改革意见》和《广东省高校后勤社会化管理规范分离性意见》的精神,对中大附小的办学管理机制进行改革,育才小学形成了国有民办的办学管理机制。万松园小学(Wan Song Yuan Primary School),简称才小,是一间师资素质好,教学、体卫设施完备的广东省一级学校。
学校创办于1964年9月,有东西两个校区。西校区位于广州市海珠区万松路35号,东校区位于广州市海珠区云桂大街1号。

学校坚持全面贯彻教育方针,取得显著成绩。学校从72年以来,坚持在师生中开展学雷锋活动和爱国主义教育,并从87年开展以考试改革为突破口的教育整体改革试验。强化德育特色,走科研兴校之路,造就高素质的干部教师队伍是万松园小学突出的办学经验特色。万松园小学坚持走科研兴校之路。坚持科研与日常教学研究相结合;科研与学校的德育教育活动相结合;科研与学生的心理健康教育相结合,切切实实地开展实践研究活动。
基础设施
校园面积6449平方米,校舍建筑面积4999平方米。教学大楼和何镇东文体科技大楼连成一体。有室内游泳池、篮球场、羽毛球场、乒乓球室,有攀爬、田径等体育场地设施。全校设有校园网和闭路电视监控系统,还有科学室、电脑室、室内游泳池(西、东校区)、室外游泳池(东校区)、音乐室。

教研情况
多年来,学校开展研究的课题有如:广东省“九五”普教科研规划课题《中小幼活动课程研究与实验》的子课题《活动课中的主体性素质教育研究》,本课题已获得省该课题总课题组的评审通过;区级课题“构建主体性发展素质教育模式的研究”,该课题于2001年11月通过专家组的评审并得到充分的肯定。还有区级课题《学生辅导区域性研究》的子课题《个别辅导的研究》和《班主任工作与学生辅导》。
校徽
本校在一九九一年九月开展了设计校徽的竞赛活动。从一年级至六年级的全部班级,
全体学生都参与了这项活动。在班级评选的基础上,全校有十八位学生获得了校徽设计的优秀奖。其中四年(1)班方璐同学设计的校徽图案入选,定为我校的校徽。
