育才学校的前身是基督教培贤女子神学院,始建于1920年。解放后,由市人民政府接管办起工农速成中学。1953年8月,改为广州市育才小学。1956年,育才小学与市立东区二小、东区八小、私立道青小学合并为保安街二小,后称寺贝通津小学。1960年9月,由市教育局指定进行十年一贯制试验,与市七中合为广州师院附属实验学校。1964年,复名寺贝通津小学。1986年9月开始在三至五年级开设体育班。1988年——1989年度先后招收小学和初中一年级体育生,并于1988年5月定名为“东山区育才体育运动实验学校”,后又定名为“东山区育才学校”。2001年被评为广州市一级学校。2003年2月,育才学校与育鹰小学、水均岗小学三所学校合并,搬迁到东风东路782号,保留了“东山区育才学校”的校名。

1948年8月 广州市中西成药工会为解决本行业人员子弟入学读书的问题建立广州市中
西成药业职工子弟小学,址在杨巷路杨仁里,它资方是“广州市中西成药
公司”罗华洲任校长,建校初只有六个教学班。
五十年代
1952年 由市教育局接办 改名“广州市太平区第三小学”由刘振铮任校长。
1953年 迁至文昌北路宝华后街4号易名“西区五小”梁其芳任副校长。
1956年 与私立“力生小学”“尚志小学”合并,后按自然街划分校名,遂命名为“育才小学”,校址在荔湾区文昌北路宝华后街4号,邓瑞瑶任校长。
六十年代
1966年 新校舍落成,正校迁到带河路上源胜南17号,原宝华后街4号校舍作为
分校,邓瑞瑶任校长。
1967年 易名为“东方小学”,邓瑞瑶任校长。
1968年 学校成立革命委员会,同时撤销校长、教导主任职位,选出革命委员会领
导成员,郭瑞琼任副主任,12月李满鸿调入任主任。
七十年代
1971年 民办小学“风雷激小学”并入该校 ,李满鸿任主任,学校师生人数增至教

育才学校的前身是基督教培贤女子神学院,始建于1920年。解放后,由市人民政府接管办起工农速成中学。1953年8月,改为广州市育才小学。1956年,育才小学与市立东区二小、东区八小、私立道青小学合并为保安街二小,后称寺贝通津小学。1960年9月,由市教育局指定进行十年一贯制试验,与市七中合为广州师院附属实验学校。1964年,复名寺贝通津小学。1986年9月开始在三至五年级开设体育班。1988年——1989年度先后招收小学和初中一年级体育生,并于1988年5月定名为“东山区育才体育运动实验学校”,后又定名为“东山区育才学校”。2001年被评为广州市一级学校。2003年2月,育才学校与育鹰小学、水均岗小学三所学校合并,搬迁到东风东路782号,保留了“东山区育才学校”的校名。

1948年8月 广州市中西成药工会为解决本行业人员子弟入学读书的问题建立广州市中
西成药业职工子弟小学,址在杨巷路杨仁里,它资方是“广州市中西成药
公司”罗华洲任校长,建校初只有六个教学班。
五十年代
1952年 由市教育局接办 改名“广州市太平区第三小学”由刘振铮任校长。
1953年 迁至文昌北路宝华后街4号易名“西区五小”梁其芳任副校长。
1956年 与私立“力生小学”“尚志小学”合并,后按自然街划分校名,遂命名为“育才小学”,校址在荔湾区文昌北路宝华后街4号,邓瑞瑶任校长。
六十年代
1966年 新校舍落成,正校迁到带河路上源胜南17号,原宝华后街4号校舍作为
分校,邓瑞瑶任校长。
1967年 易名为“东方小学”,邓瑞瑶任校长。
